Specific surgical techniques
To tighten the cheeks and neck, Dr. Wheeler makes his incisions in the folds behind your ears to keep them virtually invisible. He raises the skin and tightens the connective tissue just beneath it with subcutaneous sutures. The result is a more natural appearance and less tension on the skin incisions. Then liposuction is used to remove the excess fat. If tightening the muscles or removing skin from the front of the neck is required, Dr. Wheeler might make an incision under the chin. The incisions are closed with fine sutures to minimize scarring.
