JUVEDERM™ (Ultra and UltraPlus)

JUVEDERM™ works in two ways: it softens wrinkles and contours around the cheekbones and jaw line by adding volume to deficient areas of the skin and is a source for continuous skin hydration to sustain that soft look. It is a synthetic rather than animal-based dermal filler, eliminating concerns over allergies that animal-based products may cause.

The JUVEDERM™ treatment is very safe. The basic component
hyaluronic acid has been used for many years to promote tissue healing following cataract surgery and as a treatment for knee joint pain.

Restylane®

Like JUVEDERM™, Restylane® is a hyaluronic acid compound, a substance that occurs naturally in the body. It is injected into the dermal layers of the skin area where you want more fullness and volume, such as the areas around the nose and mouth. The treatment also adds moisture and lubrication to your skin, making it feel smoother and softer. Because Dr. Sandel injects small amounts of the compound into the affected areas, the treatment could take up to 30 minutes. The treatment is safe and relatively pain-free.

Restylane® is a clear gel compound called NASHA (Non-Animal Stabilized Hyaluronic Acid) to help prevent the allergic reactions that might result from animal-based products. The effects of the Restylane® treatment should last up to six months.
